Katarina Mellström is appointed as Secretary General to Global Child Forum

Global Child Forum is excited to confirm Katarina Mellström as Secretary General. She is tasked with strengthening the organization’s strategic collaborations and funding base and assumes her permanent role as of 1 January.
Global Child Forum, a leading children’s rights and business platform, is pleased to announce that Katarina Mellström has been appointed to the lead the organization as Secretary General. Since 1 September, Katarina has served as the organization’s interim Secretary General, but has since been confirmed by the organization’s board to this permanent role.
“We are delighted to confirm Katarina to this leadership role at Global Child Forum,” said Annette Brodin Rampe, the organization’s Board Chair. “As interim Secretary General, Katarina has already made a valuable contribution to the organization’s ongoing operations and with her drive and vision for the organization, Katarina will help us develop strategic alliances, strengthen our existing partnerships and ensure that children’s rights are on the sustainability agenda.”

Katarina has over twenty years of experience managing companies with a focus on improving society and building bridges between stakeholders. Her most recent role was Senior Director at IVA, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences. She also serves on the board of several organizations and holds a Degree of Master of Science in Business and Economics from Stockholm University.
