Global Child Forum is a nonprofit organisation established by the Swedish Royal Family in 2009, dedicated to advancing children’s rights in alignment with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. It focuses on the nexus between children’s rights and business, aiming to foster environments where children’s rights are respected and promoted. The organisation focuses primarily on the SDG2000, a corporate universe deemed most influential in helping us achieve the SDGs and investors. We do this through:
Forums: Global Child Forum hosts international forums that serve as platforms for leaders from business, the financial sector, government, academia, and civil society to share best practices, strategies, and experiences related to children’s rights and business. These events help raise awareness and drive commitments towards improving children’s lives via business practices.
Benchmarks: The organisation conducts comprehensive benchmarks that assess how well companies are integrating children’s rights into their operations and strategies. These benchmarks provide valuable insights into current practices and highlight areas for improvement, helping companies to understand how they can better support children’s rights.
Webinars: Through webinars, Global Child Forum offers accessible, ongoing education on various aspects of children’s rights in relation to business. These sessions are designed to keep stakeholders informed about the latest research, trends, and approaches in the field.
Tools and Services: Global Child Forum develops tools and services that companies can use to integrate children’s rights into their business practices. These resources include guidelines, policy templates, and case studies that provide practical guidance on respecting and promoting children’s rights.
Thought Leadership: As a thought leader on children’s rights and business, Global Child Forum contributes to the global discourse through editorial content, policy input, and strategic partnerships. They produce and disseminate knowledge that not only informs but also influences changes in businesses worldwide.
By offering these resources and platforms, Global Child Forum empowers businesses and organisations to prioritise and improve their practices regarding children’s rights, fostering a more inclusive and responsible global business environment.
