Global Child Forum selected as Åre Business Forum’s Sustainability Partner for 2026

PRESS RELEASE

Stockholm, March 10

Global Child Forum is proud to announce that it has been selected as Sustainability Partner for Åre Business Forum 2026, taking place 18–20 March 2026 in Åre, Sweden.

Åre Business Forum is one of Sweden’s leading meeting places for sustainable growth, investments, and new connections, often described as the Nordic counterpart to Davos—bringing together entrepreneurs, company owners, senior executives, key national actors, and policymakers for high-level dialogue on the Nordic business agenda.

As Sustainability Partner, Global Child Forum will contribute a clear, practical message to the program and on-site conversations: innovation and competitiveness accelerate when companies apply a children’s rights lens—because business decisions shape children’s lives across value chains, workplaces, digital environments, and communities. Global Child Forum’s presence will help ensure that children are seen not only as beneficiaries of sustainability, but as stakeholders whose rights and wellbeing must be considered in responsible business strategy.

“Nordic business is leading the way on innovation and sustainability—and now we need to ensure children are fully included in that progress,” said Ekin Björkstedt, Secretary General of Global Child Forum. “A children’s rights lens strengthens risk management, improves decision-making, and helps companies build long-term resilience. At Åre Business Forum, we’ll be here to make that lens actionable—so that growth and competitiveness also mean better outcomes for children.”

“Åre Business Forum exists to set the scene for unique business opportunities and future-focused dialogue,” said Anna Magnusson, CEO of Åre Business Forum. “We’re pleased to welcome Global Child Forum as our Sustainability Partner. Their expertise adds a vital dimension to the sustainability agenda—helping leaders connect innovation and growth with real responsibility across value chains, including the impact on children.”
