Global Child Forum launches the Impact Network to help companies put children at the heart of business strategy

PRESS RELEASE

Stockholm, March 19

Global Child Forum today announced the launch of its Impact Network, a membership community designed to help companies strengthen how they recognise, respect, and support children’s rights across operations and value chains.

The Impact Network offers member organisations a practical pathway from ambition to action — combining expert guidance, peer learning, and tools that make progress measurable and easier to communicate. Members gain access to resources such as a tailored benchmark gap analysis and scorecard, an Annual Reporting Sheet, and an exclusive Reporting Best Practices Library that showcases real-world examples of how leading companies report and act on children’s rights. Members also receive communications support and tools to help share progress credibly and consistently.

“Children are stakeholders — yet they’re still too often missing from the decisions and disclosures that shape their lives,” said Ekin Björstedt, Secretary General, Global Child Forum. “The Impact Network is built to change that. We help companies identify gaps, set priorities, and take practical steps that improve outcomes for children — while also strengthening business resilience, accountability, and long-term value creation.”

A core part of membership is a shared commitment: member organisations pledge to recognise and respect children as stakeholders across their operations and value chain, integrate children’s rights considerations into strategy and practices, continuously assess and improve impacts on children, and collaborate with peers to advance collective progress.

“Telia’s services form part of daily life for young people across the Nordic and Baltic region. This gives us a responsibility to advance their rights in everything we do,” said Anna Augustson, Head of Group Sustainability at Telia Company. “Joining Global Child Forum’s Impact Network and learning from our peers will help us to do just that. It will support our efforts to build safer and even more responsive digital offerings, ultimately creating long-term business value.”

Impact Network membership is available with tailored onboarding and support. Learn more about how to become a member here.
