Global Child Forum Welcomes Jan Olsson to Board of Directors

PRESS RELEASE

Stockholm, MAY 22

Global Child Forum is pleased to announce the appointment of Jan Olsson, CEO of Deutsche Bank in the Nordic Region, to its Board of Directors. A seasoned international banker and passionate advocate for sustainable business leadership, Olsson brings over three decades of experience in global finance and governance to the Forum.

Jan Olsson joined Deutsche Bank in 1988 and has since held senior positions across mergers and acquisitions, structured finance, and corporate finance. As CEO for the Nordics, he leads the bank’s strategic development in the region and represents it at the highest levels of industry leadership.

In addition to his role at Deutsche Bank, Olsson is a former Chairman of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK, where he guided the Chamber through a dynamic period of growth and visibility. His dedication to cross-border collaboration and fostering business with purpose was recently recognised with the Chamber’s Extraordinary Member Award.

“Jan’s unique blend of international financial leadership and values-driven vision makes him an ideal addition to the Board,” said Annette Brodin Rampe, Chair of the Board at Global Child Forum. “We are thrilled to welcome Jan and look forward to the valuable insights he will bring to our work with the global business community on behalf of children’s rights.”

Olsson is also a graduate of the Wharton School, where he earned his MBA, and has lived and worked in more than 11 countries, developing a career grounded in cultural fluency, optimism, and inclusive leadership.

Reflecting on his new role, Jan Olsson shared:

“Joining the Board of Global Child Forum feels like a natural continuation of my lifelong belief in the power of connection and purpose. Business has a vital role to play in shaping a more equitable and sustainable future for children everywhere—and I’m honoured to support that mission.”

Olsson’s appointment reinforces Global Child Forum’s commitment to bringing high-level corporate insight into the movement for children’s rights. In addition to working alongside Board Chair Annette Brodin Rampe, he joins a distinguished group of board members including Björn König, Per Heggenes, Helena Thybell, and Johan Öberg—leaders who share a deep commitment to advancing the Forum’s global impact agenda in partnership with businesses striving to be a force for good.
