The Benchmark Report 2024 has arrived
Global Child Forum has analysed:
- 1802 influential companies:
- From 8 sectors and 6 regions
- With a combined revenue of $39.6 trillion
What did we find?
Overall company performance has decreased since last year: By adding more than 900 companies in 2024, we saw a 12% drop in score versus 2023, resulting in a total average score of 4.3 out of 10.
Europe and North America outperform the rest of the world: This is likely due to the stricter reporting requirements for companies in these regions.
Healthcare leads while Energy and Utilities lags behind:
- Healthcare companies delivered the highest average score of 5.8 out of 10
- Energy and Utilities companies have work to do, averaging just 3.3 out of 10
Three key child rights topics emerged from the data:
- Children’s Mental Health: Technology companies must ensure product safety and responsibility.
- Children’s Nutritional Health: Food producers and retailers must market and advertise responsibly.
- Corporate Climate Action: Companies must monitor suppliers’ environmental or community impact.
